Sister Yarrow is a design studio rooted in a wildflower.

Yarrow (Achillea millefolium) has wandered the hillsides of Europe for centuries, woven into folklore as naturally as it grows through stone walls and meadow grass. It has been called devil's nettle, carpenter's weed, and the herb of Venus; a plant gathered for healing, protection, and quiet rituals passed from hand to hand. Tucked beneath a pillow, it was said to reveal dreams of what was waiting just beyond the horizon. Hung above a doorway, it watched over the home within. Hardy, unassuming, and steeped in a kind of everyday magic.

The same wildflower blooms each summer across the alpine meadows of Crested Butte, Colorado, where Sister Yarrow now calls home. From her small mountain studio, every illustration is hand drawn by Madeleine Greeson, carrying forward that same tradition of making beautiful things with patience, intention, and care. Every piece begins slowly. Seasons observed. Stories gathered. The work is guided by careful craftsmanship, the quiet rhythm of the natural world, and the old belief that the objects we surround ourselves with can become small vessels for memory, wonder, and belonging.

Sister Yarrow creates for two kinds of collectors, though they share the same heart.

For small businesses, the studio crafts thoughtful brand identities, packaging, and event materials that feel deeply personal—designed not simply to be seen, but remembered. For homes, Sister Yarrow creates illustrated prints, calendars, stationery, and heirloom paper goods that celebrate the changing seasons, the wild landscape, and the beauty found in ordinary days. In the end, they are not two practices at all. They are simply two ways of telling stories that feel as though they have always existed.
